Data Changelog

This log lists material corrections and surface changes PlainCredential applied after publication, including the 2026-08-09 page-vintage sitemap lastmods, the 2026-08-08 live census card fix, and the 2026-08-06 ETL rebuild guard. Each entry is past-tense and tied to a repository commit; we do not invent rows to pad the list. How to report an issue is on the editorial & corrections policy and the typed corrections pathway.   1. · Index-surface

    Replaced portal-wide sitemap lastmods on main, research, and rankings routes with per-route page-vintage stamps from git history and data vintage, so crawl dates reflect real page edits instead of one shared NCSL extract stamp.

  2. · Data integrity

    Replaced stale research and homepage census cards that claimed 2,594 rows and 20 healthcare professions with live SSR totals from the database (southern aggregation, healthcare category counts, and estimate flags).

  3. · Index-surface

    Added lagging trust chrome, guide siblings, the /state hub, and the most-education-hours ranking to sitemap-main so advertised coverage matched the indexable surface.

  4. · Index-surface

    Noindexed the 404 template so retired or mistyped URLs stop being served as indexable pages.

  5. · Data integrity

    Hardened the ETL runner to refuse a full rebuild that would delete the database and then repopulate only the wired stages, protecting stages that cannot be rebuilt from a single extract.
