This log lists material corrections and surface changes PlainCredential applied after publication, including the 2026-08-21 burden-score polarity fix, the 2026-08-29 sourcing-disclaimer restore, and the 2026-08-09 page-vintage sitemap lastmods. Each entry is past-tense and tied to a repository commit; we do not invent rows to pad the list. How to report an issue is on the editorial & corrections policy and the typed corrections pathway.     Removed mechanism-disclosure prose that described the site's own editorial production process rather than licensing content, as part of an honesty sweep of published copy.

    Fixed the public RSS feed (/feed.xml) shipping items with zero pubDates; feed items now carry honest build-time dates derived from each page's real git first-commit history.

    Restored the data-sources attribution and informational-use disclaimer on profession detail pages after a prior edit had thinned the sourcing line and dropped the verify-with-your-state-board guidance.

    Fixed a polarity error in the state burden-score distribution chart: California, the #1 most-burdened state by Institute for Justice score, was being labelled "freest" instead of "heaviest/most restrictive." Corrected the chart's comparative language to match the actual ranking.

    Replaced portal-wide sitemap lastmods on main, research, and rankings routes with per-route page-vintage stamps from git history and data vintage, so crawl dates reflect real page edits instead of one shared NCSL extract stamp.

    Replaced stale research and homepage census cards that claimed 2,594 rows and 20 healthcare professions with live SSR totals from the database (southern aggregation, healthcare category counts, and estimate flags).

    Added lagging trust chrome, guide siblings, the /state hub, and the most-education-hours ranking to sitemap-main so advertised coverage matched the indexable surface.

    Noindexed the 404 template so retired or mistyped URLs stop being served as indexable pages.

    Hardened the ETL runner to refuse a full rebuild that would delete the database and then repopulate only the wired stages, protecting stages that cannot be rebuilt from a single extract.
